Nature of information

The site and the online assistant provide general information about seafarer rights, legislation, and the union's work.

This is NOT legal advice and does not create any representation relationship (attorney–client) between you and USTU.

For an individual assessment of your situation, contact the union directly: confidential form /en/report or contacts /en/contacts.

USTU online assistant

The assistant's answers are generated automatically from a verified fact base with links to primary sources (conventions, laws, clarifications).

Despite the verified base, automatically generated answers can contain errors or inaccuracies — always check important information against the sources cited.

Do not enter personal data (name, contacts, vessel number, etc.) in the chat — use the confidential form /en/report instead.

Request limits apply to prevent abuse.

Unacceptable use

Prohibited: automated or bulk requests to the assistant (bots, scraping, load testing);

attempts to bypass the limits in place or make the assistant break these terms or produce unlawful, misleading, or harmful content;

using the site or the assistant for unlawful activity.

Intellectual property

Site content (text, design, logo) is © Ukrainian Seafarers' Trade Union of Odessa unless stated otherwise.

The texts of conventions, laws, and other legal acts referenced by the site and the assistant belong to their publishers (ILO, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, IMO, etc.) and are cited with a link to the primary source.
