SBS drones complicated Russian maritime logistics in Crimea

Ukraine’s 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Birds of Magyar” focused on striking Russian maritime logistics in occupied Crimea as part of the Crimean operation, Suspilne Crimea reported.

Strikes on maritime logistics

As part of the “MoLoChKa” operation, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces attacked more than 300 vessels of Russia’s “shadow fleet.” Fighters of the 414th Brigade “Birds of Magyar” hit 60 of them.

According to the military, these strikes significantly complicated the supply of fuel and other resources to Russian forces in occupied Crimea and weakened maritime supply routes.

The SBS explanation also says that blocking shipping in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea helped achieve strategic isolation of the peninsula. “Crimea, in effect, has lost a reliable maritime supply corridor,” Suspilne cited.

Relevance for shipping

For Ukrainian seafarers, the news is a reminder that the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov remain areas of elevated wartime risk. Maritime logistics, supply routes and vessel movements are directly linked to the region’s security situation.
